About Second Chance

Second Chance Coffee is a community interest company (CIC) founded by Gareth Owens. Having a background in youth work, particularly within the Youth Justice System, the enterprise aims to provide free and accessible training opportunities to those facing a barrier at accessing equal opportunities at gaining employment in the hospitality industry.

A Brew with a mission

Founded with the goal of revitalizing communities and empowering individuals, Second Chance Coffee is on a mission to give back. As a CIC, we reinvest our profits into educational programs, job training, and community services. We believe that coffee has the power to bring people together, and we intend to use this power for the betterment of our community.

Book in for Training or a Chat

Where applicable, training is provided with no cost to the end user in allowing them to access our courses.

Learners are provided with a workbook for both their time during and after the course, which doubles as both a certificate of attendance as well as a work reference should they wish to go on and apply for work come the end of their time.
